Photography and art is a continuously evolving craft. As we change, our perspectives change. As we learn new skills, our work can grow. Taking part in photography competitions allows us to continue growing as artists and craftsmen. This push toward personal and professional goals drives us to learn new techniques. Being critiqued by our peers forces us to look at our work with an objective eye. It's a difficult and frustrating road - one we love to hate - but we see our work evolve and grow through the process.
