I have always been a photographer starting at the age of 14 with a black and white darkroom space in the basement of my parent's Luverne, MN home. I am a graduate of Ridgewater College Professional Photography. After graduating, I began working for a commercial studio in Zion, IL for the first six years of my professional career. In 1980 my wife, Barb, and I purchased a portrait studio in Faribault, MN specializing in High School Senior, Wedding, Family, and Commercial photography. I was awarded the PPA’s Master of Photography degree in 1998 and my Photographic Craftsman degree in 2003. I served as President of the Minnesota Professional Photographers Association 2006-2007. In 2007, my career took a new direction as I began working in photographic lab services sales and customer support. For thirteen years, I used my experience as a photographer and studio owner to help hundreds of studios across the United States become better photographers and business people.
Now with ACI I am excited to continue doing what I love the most about this industry, photographers helping photographers. As many large photographic printing companies are shifting away from the professional photographer, and becoming more consumer based, I am happy to be affiliated with American Color Imaging who has always put serving the Professional Photographer as their top priority. My own photography passion has shifted from portrait and commercial photography to fine art and travel photography. My wife Barb and I have been traveling the United States on our Harley-Davidson motorcycle seeing and photographing some of this country’s most scenic views.
